You can tame them with a potion of weakness and a golden apple, like a zombie villager. A skeleton (or zombie If you use one of those) will spawn, extremely hostile. The enlightened feather will disappear, and a crackling sound can be heard. ![]() Take yet another chicken, and then a skeleton, and wait until moonlight.Īs soon as you see the moonlight directly overhead, kill both the chicken and the skeleton. Instead of the egg, however, put the enlightened feather in the nest. The first thing you should do is make the same nest as before. You can do This anywhere, but It has to be seen by moonlight. These can be used for any recipe that uses feathers, but can also be used to re-incarnate your Benu. They also always drop one when hatched or matured. Benus will also drop a enlightened feather, the three primary colors. Being more complex than the sunlight ritual, It may take awhile for preparation. But you can do something to over come this, the moonlight ritual. You have the only Benu in your world, and It died! You don't have the egg yet, and you feel silly. This makes it compatible with multiplayer. After that, It can lay a egg every 8-10 minecraft days (2 to 2 and a half real hours). The egg itself usually spawns near a Benu 10-20 minutes after maturity, making It easy to obtain. This egg will not hatch unless you do the same process as the sun ritual. What Should you do? This Ritual also helps with multiplayer problems.įirst of all, a Benu can lay a egg. The rest of the armors are fine, and ambrosonium actually adds one flap It removes 1 flap for iron and gold, and 2 for diamond. But your armor seems to have a down effect. Benus are very hungry creatures, and wont fly without a good golden snack (melons are recommended). You don't have to craft new armor for this mob, you can use horses. You can increase the amount of flaps by adding armor, two more flaps gold, 3 for iron, and 5 for diamond. One feather refills every 5-10 seconds, making flight harder than I seems. You can press space to flap once, and take you two blocks up. If you see, above your health bar, there is a meter filled with feathers. This will be the first thing you can put on you Benu, and know you can ride it. You can add saddlebags and armor to this mob, but first you have to make a special saddle, the Sky Saddle. Now that you have a full grown Benu, the fun can begin. (NOTE: The potion of overgrowth will allow you to climb leaves and vines like ladders.) Then splash the Benu with it, and watch it grow. You have to feed it something to start the growth, a item called "Potion Overgrowth", brewed with vines, and make it into splash form. Then you can lead it out to your base.(NOTE: They will attack you if hit before being tame.) Now you have to wait for it to grow up to get its full capabilities. But it wont be tame to you unless you give it golden carrots, or golden apples, or even glistering melons. Once you have the Benu, you should take it somewhere safe, because monsters will attack it when it is a baby.
